Professional Cleaning Service for Europe – Rocket Internet’s Helpling launches in France, Sweden, Holland and Austria
03 JUNI 2014
Berlin, 3rd of June 2014: Helpling, the online platform for domestic cleaners, is now expanding its service Europe-wide. The Berlin-based Start-Up, which started in April this year in Germany, launches in France, Sweden, Holland and Austria today. Helpling enables people to book professional cleaners quickly and easily. Users can book a cleaner in three simple steps in 60 seconds, making household-related services accessible in a single click. All cleaning partners are licensed and are working legally. Helpling will continue to bring its services into additional countries in the coming weeks and months.
Benedikt Franke, co-founder at Helpling: “We are very happy to offer our service in five European countries from now on. After the successful start in Germany in April this year, it is now the right time to roll out our business model Europe-wide. The cleaning sector here has a huge potential; it is a stable and growing market. Together, the five countries create an annual turnover of more than 32 billion euros. With Helpling we aim to make the cleaning industry more transparent. From now on, our marketplace offers households the opportunity to book qualified workers flexibly and comfortably online.” Philip Huffmann, co-founder at Helpling added: “It is a very important step for Helpling launching today in France, Austria, Sweden and the Netherlands. With our service, we want to simplify the daily routine of our clients by taking stressful tasks off their hands. At the same time, we offer our cleaning staff a legal and fair income, as well as enabling them to access a wider client base, so they can be less dependent on individual clients.”
It is a win-win situation for both sides; consumers and household helpers: clients can be assured that Helpling’s staff are being fairly paid and are legally licensed to work in this sector, whilst household helpers are offered security, predictability of their jobs and fairness by the Helpling system.
And this is how it works:
On www.helpling.com customers are asked to enter their address, desired time, duration and special cleaning requests. With the help of a specially designed algorithm, an appropriate cleaning lady will be selected and recommended to the client; for the special price per hour of each country, clients can gain access to the perfect support for their household and individual needs. Customers are also encouraged to submit their feedback afterwards; they can rate their household helper via a 5 stars rating system and even add them to their favorites for next time.
The expert team of 85 people behind Helpling, located in Berlin, is leaded by Benedikt Franke and Philipp Huffmann. Helpling is supported by Rocket Internet, the world’s largest internet incubator, which, alongside Zalando, Groupon International and eDarling, has built various successful Internet companies worldwide. Helpling is currently active in Germany, France, Austria, Sweden and in the Netherlands and will be soon available in further markets in the near future.
